Quicktime for Pocket PC

If you want to watch movies on your handheld computer, Quicktime for Pocket PC may be the way to go, but be careful! There are multiple versions of Quicktime available, and the wrong one won't work on your handheld computer. Always ask a professional for the proper version of Quicktime for your PC. A good bet is to ask the person you bought the computer from.

Once you have the correct version, this program can be a lot of fun. You can download regular movies or short clips to your handheld computer to be played anywhere, or you can opt for streaming video from website to your handheld. You can share special movie trailers or funny short films with your friends and family, or you can record movies on your digital camcorder and save them to a Quicktime format. Some people even have a camcorder option built into their handheld computers. If this includes you, then you have a built-in playback mechanism for your movies.

If you have a business interest in video, you can also use PDA software to develop things like commercials and music videos, save them in Quicktime format, and send them to your handheld computer. By using this option and attaching them to your electronic business card, you can bring your business networking tasks into the 21st century and beyond. Imagine being able to shoot a short promotional film to someone else's computer! Quicktime formats are compact enough, moreover, that the information you send won't take up an obnoxiously large amount of space on the other person's handheld.
