PDA Shopping Lists: Portable Reminders

Do you hate shopping lists?. They get lost, they tear, and inevitably something important is forgotten because it was never written down. With a downloaded PDA shopping list program, these problems may disappear forever. There are dozens of grocery list programs available online for a handheld computer, and many of them are offered as freeware. Free programs are often just as good as commercial programs, provided they include a few crucial items.

Some of the features you will want to look for are:

• Customizable list options. This way, you can build a list of your standard ingredients and just check off what you need as you need it. This is a great time saving features.
   
• Subdivided groups. The store is divided into departments. As such, it is only natural to divide your list by the same departments, making it more convenient to find items as you come to them, rather than running back and forth through the store.
   
• Pricing. Programs that allow you to enter the price of items make it easier to live on a budget and to comparison shop between stores.
   
• Total bill. By letting the program add up your bill before you get to the store, you already have a great idea what your shopping trip will cost you.
   
• Legible. Large, clear fonts prevent you from stumbling through you list while juggling children and crowds in the store.
   
• Recipes. By having preprogrammed recipes in your handheld and/or being able to add you own favorite recipes, you can often streamline your menu planning and shopping list into a matter of clicks.
