Calorie Counter PDA: Keeping Track of Your Intake

It's easy to say you'll count all your calories, but it's a lot harder to actually do it. A pocket PC makes it easier when you turn it into the perfect tool for keeping track of your intake. Calorie counter PDA software is available today, to help you manage your health in the easiest possible way.

You carry your pocket PC everywhere: laundry, restaurants, work, jogging, shopping. You keep your phone numbers on it, your addresses, notes to yourself, schedules, even e-books. You can also download free and commercial diet and nutritional software. With the simplest versions, you can count the calories you eat during the day by entering either what you ate or its caloric value.

With really good versions, you can enter what you ate, and it will keep track of not just caloric values but also of the nutritional value; amount of sodium; fat, protein, and carb counts; and vitamin and mineral content. You can even get suggestions for what you should eat and what you can eat at the end of the day when your caloric intake is nearing capacity.

But that's not all. Many of the commercial dietary software for your pocket PC also carries recipe books with complete nutritional information. You can plan your weekly or monthly menu, and your pocket PC will produce an electronic shopping list of what you need to buy to meet your diet. This means you can just pull out your Palm Pilot at the store, go through the list for what you need to buy, and have your grocery shopping and diet menu planned and ready for you when you get home.

With the many ways you can use your PDA to count your caloric intake, it can be an amazingly valuable tool for your diet. Check out the free PDA software available first. Chances are good you'll find all the dieting tools you need.
