Pocket PC Map Software: Never Get Lost

Instead of picking up handfuls of maps to thumb through, losing them, tearing them, and dealing with the unwieldy folds, why not try using Pocket PC map software for your travels? With directional software hooked directly into GPS satellite technology, you won't get lost again. You can find a road atlas, subway guides, and a directional program available for your PDA as well.

For instance, if you're traveling to New York City, you would normally need several sets of guides: an atlas with major interstates, a street guide to help you get around once you're in the city, another guide to major attractions and parking, and a public transportation route chart. But with a PocketPC, you can get all-in-one locational software that tells you where you are, what's close to you, and instead of just showing you a map, tell you how to get to where you're going. This may not be necessary sometimes, but whenever you're in an unfamiliar place, whether on foot or in a vehicle, this sort of technology can be a lifesaver.

Road and city guides on your handheld computer can tell you more than a regular map. For instance, tourist attractions, such as museums, amusement parks, and emergency facilities can be easily located with this software. And many of these guides come with information detailing what's to be found in these locations, including things like bars and nightlife as well as traditional tourist information. They can even provide phone numbers and other contact information, so you can arrange travel plans on the road.

For safety, practicality, and usefulness, nothing beats using road and city guide PDA software on your handheld computer.
